Session 26: Shargruk River Report

General Summary

As the unsuspecting Bones McGee faced off with the strange boar, Revnaa Noshk swooped in and lobbed the creature's head off with her mighty axe. Revnaa informed the party that the boar was actually a "Blood Boar" used to hunt down debtors and bounties. Knowing that the boars usually hunted in packs of 3-4 with their handlers, the group quickly left the area, stuffing Bone's in Revnaa's pack to prevent his scent from spreading, and marched into the night. A little further up river, the party came across a ferrymen's house and offered him some gold to ferry them across the river (since they set their last boat on fire). However as the ferryman went inside to collect his things, Kartika Rogyapa told the group she couldn't in good conscious leave the ferryman's family at the mercy of those who were after the party. So they informed the ferryman when he returned and bought the boat from him instead, urging him to leave quickly with his family (after Revnaa Noshk offered to punch him and Roy Crown Royal offered him ale). The party left to ferry the boat themselves. Over the next three days, Revnaa Noshk steered the boat down the Shargruk River (up north). The party noticed some strange phenomenon happening around them as they traveled: thunderstorms with clear skys, gravity shifting for brief intervals, rain falling up into the sky instead of down, and the very constellations themselves shifting in the sky. Tensions heated up between Revnaa Noshk and Vegam Yar, breaking out into a small fight, and all the while the party had to keep a warry eye out for their pursuers. At night, the party docked at shore and slept in the mirror-dimension pocket Tyrinn Ironward created in reflective surfaces. Revnaa Noshk and Vegam Yar worked on charting the changes in the stars and deducted that perhaps Desna, the Song of the Spheres,was sending a message to her followers to go to a place for some reason. Unfortunately, their masked pursuers caught up with them as they rested for the night and found Roy Crown Royal unaware. A bloody battle that nearly cost Kartika Rogyapa her life ensued.
