Nookspire, Tempest Valley, Arbane

On the edge of the Tempest Valley, lives a small fairy court, composed mostly of sprites, that live in the roots of the forest edge. No place for anyone bigger than two feet high, this perceptively small city is called Nookspire and is home to the Court of the Hound. For most visitors, the city consists of a series of burrows beneath large ancient trees on the edge of the Tempest Valley, with only a handful of buildings on the surface to accommodate visiting “big-ens” who might wish to trade or visit Nookspire. For those small enough to wander the small corgis sized holes beneath the trees, or lucky enough to befriend a native who’s turned them small, Nookspire is a vast city both underground and inside the hollow trees around.   The ruling court of Nookspire is the Court of the Hound. This sprite and pixie court is most famous for their riding corgis, which they use as mounts, into battle on the surface. The Court of the Hound are known for being fearless despite their size, willing to jump into fights with creatures ten times their size in the name of their court or for moral reasons. In general, scholars depict the court as being “chaotic good”, though they certainly follow their own laws. Representatives from the Court of the Hound are often the talk of “big-ens” when they venture out of their lands as “adorable” which many of them dislike.   While many of the natives of Nookspire have wings, being mostly sprites and pixies, there are a large number that are wingless. This is seen as a corruption of being born in the Material Plane and a loss of some of their fey powers. As a result, many expecting mothers in Nookspire travel to a breach to give birth so that their child might be blessed with the First World magic. This has not declined the number of Wingless born however.

City
Some of the highest population of Vassal Feymarked reside in Nookspire. Many of these Feymarked are actually that of creatures and mortals who have received Baleful Polymorph to shrink down into the size of a sprite to fit inside the city.
