Court of the Hound

The ruling court of Nookspire is the Court of the Hound. This sprite and pixie court is most famous for their riding corgis, which they use as mounts, into battle on the surface. The Court of the Hound are known for being fearless despite their size, willing to jump into fights with creatures ten times their size in the name of their court or for moral reasons. In general, scholars depict the court as being “chaotic good”, though they certainly follow their own laws. Representatives from the Court of Hound are often the talk of “big-ens” when they venture out of their lands as “adorable” which many of them dislike.   The Court of Hound has two distinctive parts: the Hound Court and the Pack Court. The Hound Court is what would generally be called the Noble Court, composed of ruling sprites and pixies that make the legislative body of Nookspire. The Pack Court is the military and famous corgis cavalry that the Court of Hound is known for. Many members are part of both courts and one of the ways other creatures become part of the Hound Court is through rising up the ranks of the Pack Court.   The court laws are simple, though their firer details change frequently with the chaotic nature of the fey, however the basic remain the same:
  • Act with Bravery: Do not fear the big folk. Though they may be larger in physical size, so is their hubris.
  • Protect All Fey: Mortals tend to act rashly and misjudge those of sylvan nature, especially in the wild.
  • If in Doubt, Do what’s Right: All laws and things evolve and change. No set of rules can cover them all. Doing what seems right and just, is often the best a fey can ask.
Most members extend the rule “Protect All Fey” to kind hearted mortals and creatures as well, however given a choice between the two will always pick the fey. This can be seen when siding with a fey who has sometimes captured a mortal (as is a commonality in the First World) or a Feymarked.
