Naval Radaya Siival Soumral

Thane Naval Raydaya Soumral

Born of noble class, Naval Soumral was the wife of thane Eydan Soumral. She became thane after his assassination during peace talks with the Forgotten One. Tough a suli, her life was magically extended by the grace of Lord Gaz'roc's magic and she was able to live to age 357. She was briefly dethroned by her son's wife, Moxie Wyrin-Soumral, as a peace treaty for approximately six months before the thane stepped down. She was succeeded by her niece, Inam Soumral, after she committed suicide following the end of the Civil War when she lost her son a second time.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Born Naval Radaya Silval, she was raised in the lower noble class of Docean before the Civil War. Her marriage to Eydan Akaash Lis Soumral was arranged at age 13 by her family and she was wed by age 17. Naval's marriage to Eydan was by all accounts a happy marriage and fortuitous for the nation in the later years. They had one son before her husbands assassination, who was lost during the following Civil War. Naval ruled over all of Docean during the years exiled to the underdark and is greatly credited for keeping the city alive during the next few centuries.    Despite being Suli, Naval's life was extended hundreds of years by the grace of Lord Gaz'roc's magic, allowing her to live to the age of 357. She died shortly after the Civil War, not of old age, but of suicide. Historians believe she might still be ruling today, had she not taken her own life.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Naval Soumral ruled over Docean for over 300 years and is greatly credited for keeping its people alive during its exile into the underdark. Even today, historians still write her as the greatest Thane to have ever ruled in Gaz'roc, save for the elvin Thane Talathel who brokered the agreement with the Oroboro to bless the world with their guidance.

Mental Trauma

In 3600, the Forgotten One sent back Thane Eydan Soumral's head in a sack after failed peace talks. The head was delivered to Naval and her son in court, to the shock of everyone, by a messenger who tossed it at her feet. Shortly later, the Forgotten One would curse all of Docean, which she was newly thane, into the underdark and Naval lost not only the city but her only son in the process. It would be some 300 years later that they would be reunited, only to lose him a second time in the end of the Civil War when the Reluctant Goddess ascended him and their children to her realm.

History

Despite the young age of which their political marriage began, all accounts of Naval and Eydan's lives together were characterized as happy and deeply in love by those who knew them.

History

Naval's and Moxie's relationship was strained at the start, when the still mortal Moxie dethroned Naval in a treaty before raising Docean from the underdark. The relationship improved after Moxie stepped down from the throne, though the two were not what were described close.
