Lapthahum

Lapthahum is a gnomish resort town on the north-eastern coast of The Stillhere. It rests perched upon Mount Lapthahum , along the coast of the New Sea.
Lapthahum is famous for its amenities. It boasts a wide number of spas, hotels, fine restaurants, and entertainment options steeped in gnomish history.

Government

The Gnomish Crane Assocation of Partners (Gno.Cr.A.P.) runs the city by committee. Gno.Cr.A.P. is a close partner to the local Hospitality Guild.
Artisan groups nominate a representative to Gno.Cr.A.P. whenever the previous representative dies, gets distracted, gets bored, or forgets that they are a representative. So about once every 6 weeks.

Infrastructure

Lapthahum is organized into many neighborhoods. Among these are Bangside Hills, an athlete’s village consisting of stacks of modular living quarters haphazardly arranged by the notorious Gnomish Crane Association of Partners (Gno.Cr.A.P.). Here, humans, dwarves, elves, half-elves, dragonborn, tieflings, tortles, halflings, goblins, orcs, half-orcs, or whatever else a given visitor identifies as can be found cavorting, gambling, inventing, bribing, sabotaging, and doing what can be done to ensure their place among that year's top competitors.

History

The The 100th Annual Rockbang! Invitational's formed the backdrop for a series of investigations conducted by a group of adventurers hired by Romo Rardigar to investigate the disappearance of his brother Marty Rardigar.

Tourism

Once each year, the Rockbang! Invitational takes place at the Lapthahum resort. Representatives from all over the Stillhere flock to the cliffs to test their skills. S.K.I.s fastened to their feet, poles held aloft like the great lances of old, hang-gliders tightly bound to their backs, these athletes slide down the cliffside and launch themselves with their poles using a strategically placed furrow just before the precipitous drop into the welcoming embrace of the New Sea. Enterprising sea elves recover as many participants as they can and, after the ceremonial ransoming of the rockers, a winner is declared. The RockBang! invitational is the sporting event of the season and is attended by knobs from all over.
