The Gold

Between the dramatic landscapes of the continent, the greens, blues, and greys of the natural world are suddenly interrupted by a shinning, crisp yellow field that goes on for miles on end. The Kenku who once reigned over it had no other words for it; they named it The Gold. Though the sun-baked grass plains represent the majority of the region's geography, the terrain is actually quite varied, rising into mountains in some places, turning cold enough to see snow in some parts; hot enough to never see a season shift in others; The Gold is one of the most varied regions in the continent. Its large, open expanse has invited conflict for those who lived in it -- Gnolls, Kenku, Humans -- since the dawn of time. Before the Bloody Peace, the Gold has been in a state of perpetual conflict. Some even go as far to say that the land is cursed to make violent those who live it.
