Plumberry

The Plumberry is a species of fruit found in the Doobi Desert, at the planet of Khannh. They have an orange appearance and grow to be around palm-sized, with very soft and tiny torn-like extrussions in its outside.

Description

The fruits have a dark orange color on the outside, with a slightly-crunchy soft exterior peel. Their inside is a light pink color, and its texture is homogeneous, smooth, soft and semi-fleshy, with around a dozen black and hard stones scattered on is inside, which are covered in a slightly-slimy coat which makes them very slippery at touch. They have been described as being very soft and watery, while having a sweet and slightly savory flavour.

Nutrition and consume

Plumberries have been noted to have high amounts of vitamins and water, as well as high contents of canolina which give the fruits their characteristically orange color.
The stones, which tend to vary in size greatly even if part of the same fruit, have high traces of toxic materials, which make them extremely venomous for a wide range of species. The stones' range of size come from inch-size to only about a couple of milimeters, which summed to their tendency to be slippery, can trick people into swallowing them unnoticed, creating a very serious threat to passerby tourists and travellers.
The stones' coat, however, can be peeled with help from any utensil with a moderately sharp edge. This soft and slimy coat is known to be non-toxic for the vast majority of species, and contain no traces of the stones' toxic substances. They are rich in sugars and some vitamins. Alternatively, they can be harvested and refined to obtain Pentanyl Monohydrus, a trasluscent liquid with olive tone that is often thickened with Dakkor Monohyde to be used as concentrated refrigeration liquid for spacecraft.
