Adamyte

Adamyte, sometimes called Adamite, Adamonyte, Bluerock or Blue Saphine, amongst many others, refers to a series of Adamio-containing naturally-occurrent ores found throughout the galaxy.   Most of the ores' varieties come as crystaline-traslucent minerals of blueish tone, some of which are traded valuably for their low contains of cytrons, which tend to overcomplicate the refining process. Among these ores and rocks, the most well known ones are Diamonyde, Gumonide, Blue Adamyte, Adamytine, Polcromamyte, and Diclose-Adamyte.   It is to be noted that Adamyte crystals are particularly difficult to replicate at a laboratory, reason why, in practice, they are considered to be harvestable only from nature. Large crystals can be extremely valuable, with strenght of color adding to the crystals' collector price.

Compounds and Nomenclature Problem

While the term Adamyte originally referred to the crytal form of the material, as opposed to the stone forms, a large scale confusion in terminology happened when merchants of Adamio started using different market names for their stones, some of which coincidentally happened to be very similar so some names from other trade organizations.   This lead to the implementation of new nomenclature across the Galaxy by the Bureau of Science, which established a series of names to be used across the galaxy. The most well known naturally-occuring compounds found in Adamyte ores include:
  • Monomyte
  • Dimyte
  • Trimyte
  • Triclomyte
  • Hydromyte
  • Hydrinomyte
  • Main Derivates

  • Pentanyl Monohydrus: A trasluscent liquid with olive tone, with a very high boiling point and very good thermal conductivity. It is often thickened with Dakkor Monohyde to be used as concentrated refrigeration liquid for spacecraft.
  • Monomyl Monomyte: A transparent solid that precipitates in form of small crystals. When obtained, it is usually inert or presents very low volatility, if any. It can be activated via Electric Pyrolisis with water, then be reduced and condensed, proccess that turns it into its Tetramyl form.
  • -Tetramyl Monomyte: A semi-transparent white-tinted fine crystal, closely resembling white dust. When hydrated, it becomes highly reactive in prescence of some combustibles like Nakkor fuel, reason why it is used as fuel component for some spacecraft.
