Yetrisi Oral Literature
the yetrisi don't have the concept of written records or even written language, so they preserve all of their history and knowledge through oral teaching. among the most notable stories in this yetrisi oral literature regard how the yetrisi came to be, such as The Making Of The World, The Rising Of The Sky, and The Long Fall to Darkness -which recount aakinism's creation myth from start to finish. many lesser tales fit in this narrative, but all pertain to yetrisi mythology and the teachings of aakinism.
Execution
stories are often told by the Ulam'Kant -meaning songweaver- around a fire or other light source, always lit low to provide great shadow, and no one but them speaks. during these recitations, the storyteller -trained to orate and remember the tales- speaks, brandishing a long wooden rod soaked in aakin's bile to glow and leave a slight afterimage. chants, singing, or other vocals do on occasion accompany the performance, but generally, it is strictly oration and the focus remains on the story.
