Kessons

Kessons are a type of coinage found throughout The Ascendist World minted and issued by various governments. The currency originates from The Ascendant Empire and its descendent kingdoms -Tyet, The HKA, and The I Sarvosi Empire-, but through global trade, the coins have made their way to other continents, being widely occasionally in Hocier and Yevela, along with some parts of calelac and grathil.

Significance

Most mints in The Ascendist World stamp the coins with the likenesses of The Ascendants or other Ascendist iconography. Other notable devices include flowers on Tyet's coinage and the figures of important Helhekian monarchs on Kessons from The HKA.

Kessons were historically made from bronze or silver, but, in recent years, kingdoms have begun minting them in gold or platinum to show their wealth and prestige, generally increasing their value.
