The Geiss/ Masamune Wedding
The social event of the Spring, in which Portia Geiss married Keith Masamune at the Belmont Hotel in The Old Quarter.
A high society affair attended by socialites from every corner of the City, and heavily scrutinized by the Families of Winegarden, the event promised gaiety, tradition, and a critical shift in power as the established Masamunes joined with the up-and-coming Geiss family. No one could have foreseen the other events that came next.
Among the most notable events was the emergence of the self-proclaimed 'Spoonies', an unorganized group of vigilantes who attempted to crash the wedding, having been spurred on by the words of a certain local radio host.
The Reception was a traditional affair, where the elite were announced upon entrance, and politics were discussed covertly over drinks and gentle chamber music. The entrances were dutifully recorded by a reporter for the City newspaper.
The Ceremony took place outside.
The Gala Dinner followed.
