General Summary
Cold Open
Shows us the city during the late 1800’s Calamity
The Lake is angry
There is a lighthouse with three figures approaching with a lantern. One of them is Cy dressed in old timey clothes
Inside of the lighthouse is a whole bunch of black crows
Something in the Nothing?
Francis grows a kangaroo pouch to hold his mug. It doesn’t work and it seals the mug inside his skin. That’s weird
Direction signs are messed up and the Kissas don’t know what way to go
Mora uses her tracking and finds a dusty old sign that seems to point in the right direction
Arrived at an intersection and ahead there seems to be some kind of void
Francis grows mantis eyeballs and investigates. Can tell that there is nothing there but it seems that there is something in the nothing.
Kat notices the mantis eyes and think it’s pretty awesome
Dee uses her archaeology skills and figures out what direction they need to go
Stopping for Gas
We need a total of 10 clues to find the river.
Stop at an intersection so that the donkeys can drink and cool off
Mora talks to Jackie who seems a little upset because her cool Egyptian theme has kind of taken away her water power. She says it would have been useful to help find the water and feels kind of useless, upset, and out of sorts.
Mora tells her that she actually feels better with the power. The theme Mora replaced was "Assassin"
Mora asks "What do you think happens at the end of this?" Jackie doesn’t know but comments about all the parts of Cy that they’re taking.
Kat decides he wants to climb a wall see where to go, and he’s waiting for Kit to perform some kind of magic to let him do that.
Kit explains to him that it doesn’t work that way but encourages him to try to open themself up to it
Kat opens himself up to Thoth's magic and uses the head of ibis to recognize the patterns and where to go.
Excalibur uses her Egyptian tag "Nose of a Jackal" to smell the way to the river
-One of the Kissas (I think Nef??) says something to Excalibur “Everything you say, I just see Alexandra” and "You have the best parts of your family"
Huge cracks form in the walls. They look in those cracks it resembles the void. It feels like the END.
It seems as though the whole world is cracking behind them as they move toward the river.
Kit uses their "Glorious Sunbeam" of Horus's power to light the way to the river
As they arrive, the cracks seem to be chasing them. They stop and seem to be held back somehow by the power of the river
Reaching the Pier
Argument going on at the pier between 4 men- Oza says there should be only 1 bargeman, not 4. They should have golden robes not grey.
Stone monument by each barge with cartouche carving on it
Jackie, Mora, Kat, and Kit go look investigate cracks
Eugenia, Oza, Nef go talk to people arguing on the docks
Francis tells Dee about the Dark House
Bargemen are accusing the other bargeman of horning in on business, promises not delivered, being a bad name for the business. A bunch of business bullshit
They all claim they’ll take you where you need to go. Says he’ll take you to where the beloved pharaoh sleeps, it seems like bullshit
Oza says last time it was a golden barge
Strange markings are like hieroglyphics being glitchy
The Cracks
Cracks have a stopping point where they can’t get closer
Mora thinks its following us because of the objects we’re carrying
Kit investigate- this is nothing you’ve ever seen before- there’s definately a barrier pushing it out of this area,
Cracks talk to Kit- “Come rest, come fade, come end” it appears it’s not talking to Kitsune Marshal but directly to their mythos
Cracks are following all of us, Kissa’s too
At the wagon Francis and Dee share frog story with Tamika
The Barges
3 ways to figure this out toe to toe with cartouche, convince bargemen, investigate boat
Dee tries to decifer the cartouche - It promises “the endless delights of a famous whorehouse”. The barge men fades away
Right when that happens the barrier at the cracks changes and the cracks advance
Cracks hit Moras boot and she gets-1 pins and needles status
Everyone moves to docks at this point
Excalibur talks to dude. They discover he’s taking them to a bar. She says no and the barrier closes more
Jackie hands Mora the bottle as she fixes the cracks to try to hold back the barrier
Dee burns a tag to solve Cartouche for 3rd boat, it will bring you to the market
4th boat becomes alight and golden.
Nef gives Oza her jar and goes to stand beside Jackie
On the Golden Barge
Eugenia, Francis, and Dee rates their week
Mora weirdly feels better than before
Kit feels more confident, trickster is gone replaced by a regal presence
Kat is pretty shook up by Jackie’s sacrifice
Kit offers to help carry Oza’s 4 jars but Oza says no
Oza indicates that the others are ok
Eugenia tries to give Kat a pep talk
See a faint golden glimmer
“We’ve got a couple of visitors”
Travel down the river there is a thump on the barge.
Mora investigates and sees that there are two shapes following them. She uses her weakness tag of Remember Cy
Kit continues to stare where the golden light was
Hippos attack! Mora uses “courage of a lioness“ fire at it
Francis throws the Bargeman over the side and takes over steering the boat and steers out of the way as the hippo chomps on the edge of the boat
Dee uses “strike first, strike fast” and shoots the hippo
Excalibur uses a rocket launcher on the hippo
Maura finishes off one while Dee finishes off the other
The Island Where Two Rivers Meet
Osa explains that the golden light is in the place where the tree of life grows and that it disappeared back in the Calamity around 1900. But why is it there now?
It was an Important place to the Ressurection Society
“What if the tree is there? what if the answer is on the island?” Oza says, but doesn’t want to go there without Nef and Eeth
Kit tells Kat to burn his other tag to See more stuff.
He doesn’t see anything at the Golden Island but he looks to where you guys are going and says hey it’s Capricorn Park
Capricorn Park
The sand is gold and there are lots of giant statues in obelisks
A three-story tall sphinx glowing gold is where you need to go
The warden steps out from behind a statue calls Francis “Satan “and grows wings and horns. He says “so glad that little thing led me to you“
Another figure steps out with a hoodd figure with a hyena and golden eyes
A third figure comes from the shoreline hooded figure with goldeneyes riding a hippo
Side note- Each item grants the player a theme based on Egyptian mythology that they can use for this campaign, while temporarily replacing one of their own
