202: The Hollows

General Summary

Against their better judgement, the 4 1/2 Horsemen decide to enter the 8Hollows to rescue an unwise podcaster
A Damsel in Distress -2 am Saturday morning, Flicker watches the Hero Division TV show -she hears disturbing Black Report and sends it to the crew

-Dee reveals she’s a fan of the show so she already heard it -Mora checks out Ryan’s apartment, it’s in Old Quarter or Little Dublin near the U -Ryan’s door gives her an electric shock, she reports that no one seems to be home -Dee and Eugenia are still drunk from friday night at Jumping Jacks -Francis and Kit both say they’ve been to the hollows but not in the hollows -Prescilla has no info on the hollows -decide to go in the morning
the scenic overlook- -the crew arrives here and find Ryans Car covered in some kind of sigil’s in a language no one knows (not even Dee) -The vending machine looked like it was from the 1970’s
The truck- -Red Truck looks like it’s from the 1940’s, engine on lights on. -Possibly some kind of delivery truck -Dirt in the back of the truck -Radio-scanning, Betty’s voice-late night lovers, “My Dearest Love”, plays sound of man and woman screaming and running away. -The truck does not look like it’s been there for 60-70 years, it looks like same condition as Ryan -Radio- screech of metal, huge crash, “quick quick run”, hear them running -Dee found a finger * is this a Shoreline Group truck? Were they hauling something into the hollows or away from the hollows. Maybe trying to haul away more tree’s? Does the “my dearest love” hint that it has something to do with Alexandra Laban Excalibur? Do we know anyone who’s missing a finger? They would have to be pretty old. This would work perfect as Rameesh and Henrietta except for the age Sandy Joe and the Campground, Ryan wakes up from a bad dream here, it feels like this is normal and the hollows was a bad dream Encouraged swimming in the river or taking naps in hammock Said just try to enjoy it you’re only here for the summer So this is where the tree science makes me go hmmmm. So trees absorb nutrients all summer long through the leaves. Then before winter comes they pull all those nutrients into the trunk and away from the leaves which is why the leaves change color. Are they trying to keep Ryan around to absorb all his nutrients. It sounds dumb but there’s something there. Do we have a Siren’s type of situation here? Sandy Jo say’s the visitors center is too far to walk She get’s mad when Ryan tries to leave. She’s emancipated and her eyes are red. She’s screaming at Ryan but he can’t hear her, she like unhinged her jaw or something and her mouth got huge as she screams silently Ryan picks up 1 burnt ember Visitors center is too far to walk, because they’re trees? Red eyes, is repeated throughout this story, except for Woe has blue eyes and whatever is possessing Ryan has blue eyes The tree with a bunch of noose’s: 1 is swinging like maybe it was just used. How did this tree look? Did it look healthy like it had just eaten? Maybe it gets nutrients from the people that get hung their? The Well: Sounds of soft breathing? The Roses: There’s a row of White Roses seem to cover some statues, as Ryan walks along they transition to Red roses I think? when Ryan reaches out one of the hands on the statues twitches He does the same to one of the white roses: a thorn vine slaps across his wrist and cuts him. The blood from the scratch causes the white rose to begin to turn pink It feels like we can assume the plants need to feed on blood in order to get color. Hopscotch, jump rope, Ryan hears a song. “Oh oh tree of red, walk along the path you tread, Eyes in the leaves and lies in the breeze and whispers in your head” A whisper voice say’s “come see me” as Ryan passes out Almace Menagerie: There’s a bunch of animals walking around. They are all White with Red Eyes. Big Chains There’s a pavilion and the crew finds Ryan lying there.- there’s a flashback of Ryan at the library with Dee and Theresa a few years ago. Dee does not recognize Ryan though. When he wakes up his eyes are an unnatural Blue There are Cages with dangling chunks or raw meat and a blood trail One of the chunks is unidentifiable, it starts to wiggle, and then goes limp and you hear a bell ring. The bell reminds me of something an animal trainer might ring right before feeding time. There are 4 black figures that turn out to be huge ant hills Gate that has “stay out humans” painted on it Almace’s personal viewing area. One of the cages looks like it was torn apart by some Big cat or other clawed animal Pile of bones- a story and a half tall- Ryan climbs to get his drone, he fails but the pile collapses and he gets his drone 10 foot tall huge muscled human figure with no face just a mouth screams at you all. He’s carrying a sword. Songbird: this bird looked like the one Kit brought to the snake battle, and it screamed at us Pull of the Red Tree: Ryan seems to be possessed and starts talking unintelligably We hear an organ note-then he wants to walk toward the tree Mora,Dee, Excalibur talk him out of it Scarecrow: Creepy scarecrow with bird sticking out of it’s mouth, Eugenia pulls it out and it’s only a wing and a claw, it flys away

At the Diner -the crew emerges 20 minutes after they entered -still have their tattoos -Ryan tries to erase the crews memory of him. It fails -Kit knows he tried something, but no one else knows -Drone Footage is just the crew walking in the woods and yelling etc. -last 5 seconds is 1 red eye looking at the camera -Kit tells crew about Burger Maiden the night before -Kit shows them the apple and gold rock they took -Ryan seems to leave, mentally, and Mr Black takes over -explains that Ryan thinks Mr Black is a completely different person than himself -apologizes and asks the crew to keep Ryan/MrBlacks secret -Mr Black feeds Ryan false info from time to time, erases some memories -Kit is not agreeing unless he lays off Eugenia -Delores; “hey Mr Black, give Ryan my regards” -Francis suggest a Black Report about Babette, Dee adds that she’s tied to the Squid People

-girl in hollows is “Woe” she is the enemy of the Red Tree, she wanted help -Ian Chow was as the church scene -Yes there were trees with human bodies grown into them that we didn’t get to -if you want to hear more you’ll have to listen to the recordings
