Legend of Winter's Perpetual Bleed Myth in The Chronicles of Traith | World Anvil

Legend of Winter's Perpetual Bleed

For ages snow and ice have battered the mountains of The Endless Peaks year around. Offering little reprieve to anyone brave or crazy enough to live in or around these mountains. This myth was first established by the people known as the Frostborn a group comprised of several races that united in an effort to survive in the cold and unforgiving lands of Marthepp and it monstrous inhabitants.

Summary

There are many myths and legends surrounding the The Endless Peaks but the most well known is that of Winters Perpetual Bleed. Legends say that early in the First Age: The August Migration a spellcaster of substantial power opened a portal to the para-elemental plane of Ice in an effort to gain the favor of the White Dragon Whyrmvrax the Frostwing.

  This legend speaks of a group of heroes who attempted to thwart the spellcaster in his effort to open a portal big enough to send all of Traith into an Ice Age. While these heroes were successful in slaying the spellcaster befoe the portal could open to its intended size, yet his creation did not close. Thses heroes then entered the portal I hopes of being able to seal it from the other side. The portal remains open to this day and those heroes were never heard from again.

Historical Basis

Regardless of seasons the The Endless Peaks  see a constant stream of storms that keep a perpetual blanket of snow and ice that covers the mountains slopes from peak to valley.

Note to self: Go around these mountains if I can. If the cold doesn't kill me, then the dragons probably will. I like the writing that's there and have no complaints about it. Only suggestions I have are formatting related if you want to hear them.

i would love to hear what thoughts you have; it only helps me get better either way.

Alright. It's just a few small things, so don't take it too seriously.   1. The Summary Section is only two paragraphs long, but has an image breaking it up. This is fine on long articles, it gives the reader a break, but on shorter ones, it kind of breaks the flow of information, like it's telling me to take a break, even though I hardly read anything. If you move the image to the sidebar, put the image at the end of the section, or use the 'row' and 'col' codes, you can put the image on the right side, and with the words of the left, people are able to read the entire section without being interrupted.   World Anvil has a Guide for BBcode and also has examples for how it all looks too.   2. For your background image, I noticed it was tiling. If you add some lines of CSS code to the same spot where you added the image, it will stay in place when scrolling. All three of these lines do different things, but they should stop the background from repeating itself:   background-repeat: no-repeat; background-attachment: fixed; background-size: cover;

Wow thanks hadn't thought about some of that.   I have no idea about bbcode or css and would love to learn it but have a hard time staying focused on it for long enough to actually learn it
