Chosen

The title of "Chosen" is one of special meaning regardless of what one has been chosen for and this title can be placed on a person for any number of reasons. One could be the "Chosen" of a village, city, nation, organization, religion, species, ethnicity, deity, or even the multiverse itself. Anyone who obtains this tilte has performed above and beyond the call of their duty.

Deity

A person who has been selected to become a "Chosen" of a deity has usually performed some form of special quest or is an exemplarily follower of the deity. These individuals are not just random run of the mill worshipers, they excel in and personify what the deity stands for in many different ways. Not all deities have "Chosen" but those who do invest a portion of thier power into those who proven themselves worthy being elevated to this rank, at least most of the time there have been instances where a deity blessed a child even before birth with this role. In these circumstances these children often grow up not even knowning who or what they are until they recieve a vision or are made aware by someone with that knowledge.
"Chosen" are usually granted abilitites by the deity that are tied to it's dogma and portfolios. A chosen of a fire deity might be granted the able to teleport from place to place use a fire source such as a bonfire or fireplace, while a chosen of a water deity might be granted the ability to move and breath under water just as easily as they would on land.

Ethnicity

A Chosen of an ethnicity is often one of prophecy whether it be someone who has fulfilled certain cryteria or a new born child fortold to bring about a change to or within the culture.

The Multiverse

Often pondering the vastness of everything that is beyond and within oneself a Chosen of the multiverse knows who they are and usually from a very young age. They do not flaunt their status as such as its not their place. Deeply spiritual and reflective beings these individuals seek to help others achieve greater than one gives themselves credit for. They attempt to guide the people but also understand that they cannot change people just guide them, try to get them to see the error of their actions in a gentle way. Once one can see and acknowledge their own faults and flaws they are capable of learning a better way of handling themselves and situations.
Chosen of the multiverse are capable of seeing into multiple layers, branches, and timelines at any given time. Many are The Confluence adepts.
