Subraces of the Mingines:   The Mingines are divided into four distinct subraces, each with its own unique traits, culture, and way of life.
  1. Domhain: Forest Gnomes - living in harmony with the dense forests and hollowed out trees. They are reclusive and secretive, using natural magic and camouflage to protect their families and territories and are often talented Illusionists. They do have one town that is for meeting and trading with outside groups
  2. Balidorians: Cave Gnomes - They are a subculture of the Mingines known for their ingenuity, craftsmanship, and vibrant communities. Unlike their more reclusive cousins, the Balidorians have embraced a structured yet lively lifestyle, building thriving settlements within and around cave systems. Balidorians live in large, well-organized cave systems, often with parts of their cities built around cave openings to allow for trade and interaction with the outside world. They are skilled artisans and miners, creating tools, weapons, and machinery that are both functional and beautiful.
  3. Greyvens: Rock Gnomes - They are a subculture of the Mingines distinguished by their cosmopolitan lifestyle and agrarian roots. Unlike their more reclusive cousins, the Greyvens have embraced the outside world, integrating seamlessly into mixed-race communities while maintaining their gnomish traditions. Greyvens live primarily in their two largest cities, Blathanna and Nulkirt, which are predominantly gnomish but welcome other races. Outside these cities, they are commonly found in mixed-race communities, where they form small enclaves and contribute their skills to the broader society. They are skilled artisans, farmers, and traders, creating and selling goods like agricultural tools, enchanted seeds, and finely crafted household items.
  4. Mingins: Wildling Gnomes - They are the most primal and untamed of the Mingines, embodying the wild, mystical essence of their fey heritage. Living in small family units scattered across the dense forests, they are deeply connected to the natural world and any fey that might inhabit it. Mingins live in hidden forest dwellings, often camouflaged to blend seamlessly into their surroundings. They are skilled hunters, gatherers, and foragers, relying on the forest for food, medicine, and materials. Their daily lives are filled with rituals and ceremonies to honor the fey and the natural world.
Shared Culture and Society:   While the subraces of the Mingines have distinct lifestyles and traits, they share a common heritage and values. They are deeply connected to the natural world and their fey ancestry, valuing freedom, individuality, and community. They are skilled artisans, hunters, and foragers, creating tools and art imbued with natural magic. Their daily lives are a blend of hard work and quiet reflection, with a strong emphasis on self-sufficiency and harmony with nature.
