The Chromatic Order: Unrehta

"Eyes do not see truth, but rather, the mind" - Tressel, 12th century 2E poet and philosopher.
The world of Unrehta is divided into four unique regions. To the north is Thuringare, a harsh region of ice and sea. There, the earth strikes out from the water as sharp spires of rock. Some are large enough to support whole villages. While the people of Thuringare build their homes along the sides of these sharp crags, their true home is the sea. To the south, we see the continent of Entrepidos. Inventive, creative, and original all describe the people of this region well. The region receives kind weather and a radiant sun, blessings from the goddess Rei. Of course, when speaking of Entrepidos, one must always mention the people's warrior might and strategic minds, the best in Unrehta some would argue. In the east, the continent of Kai'bal houses the Kilithet Nomads, a proud people with a long history of tribal civil war. Kai'bal stretches to the horizon in great steppes, stopping only at the world's largest desert -- the Gap of Khans. To the west, the high mountains of Lafantel. Honor, dignity, and valor, the people of Lafantel pride themselves in their code of chivalry. The great peaks of the mountains soar high into the sky in La Fantel, giving it natural defenses from threats beyond.
There exists a great unease to those living in this world, however. The gods and goddess that created the world have long since disappeared. They left behind sources of their power, but no mortal has spoken to a deity in thousands of years. Legends tell of how they used to walk the material plane, side by side with their mortal followers, but with every year since their disappearance, more believe the stories to be legends. Where did they go, and why did they leave? Were the gods even real?
