Syr'Cap, Tarksson, Cedric, and Toan travel the burned down Tenor Woods that Syr'Cap himself had given orders to burn down during the Shadow Horde invasion of New Crescendo. While they make camp, they are attacked by twisted monstrosities that nearly kills them all. Toan's wounds are mortal, but through the intervention of the Archfey, Toan is given the choice of saving himself at the cost of Cedric's life. Toan accepts without hesitation, and Cedric drops dead.
