Cedric escapes with the red crystal to the Temple of Yenna, but one of the Archfey's assassins shows up while he sleeps, and demands the crystal. He gives it to him, and the Assassin tells Cedric he will be dead in 16 days. Cedric, Tarksson, and Toan reunite, and Quinn tells them to take him to Syr'Cap, who is in the woods outside of the city. They meet up with him and Quinn convinces Syr'Cap to try to unite the tribes, and come together with him in a human alliance. Cedric tells Quinn he's going to die in two weeks, and Quinn orders Tarksson to keep him alive at all costs.
