Day 20 to 22
After a successful hunt, the Navali feast and celebrate. Bukalasoo, after taking mushrooms, is struck by lightning, and has a vision involving shadow and light. The Navali take this to be prophecy, and Bukalasoo, Syr'Cap, Degatoga, and Tanozall are sent on this vision quest. It leads them to a camp belonging to the Tribe of a Thousand Stones, which they wipe out. Viktur, a member of the Tribe of a Thousand Stones, attempts to stop them, but falls into the river, and a rock falls on top of him, knocking him out and sending him downriver.
