Swarm

The Swarm is an incomprehensibly large swarm of locust-like creatures that currently threatens all of the known galaxy. They are responsible for the deaths of billions of sentient individuals, and have stripped entire star systems of all useful biological material. The majority of governments and corporations in Near Space are dedicated to studying the creatures, and discovering weapons that could wipe them out for good.
