In his free life, Deku was a member of the Hotwire Bandits, a gang known for its explosive heists and pyromania on Absalom Station . While he was by no means a leader, he was well known to the authorities, and considered a B-class criminal. Deku was captured during a raid by the Stewards, and is convinced that one of his fellow members ratted him out.
In the Sauna Deku is a member of Mining Team 5 , acting as the team’s Blaster. He gets along well with all of his crew, and is considered well-liked by his fellow inmates.
