Avalon Harbor

Avalon Harbor is a major trading post and the direct line from Rathis, the Demagan Capital, to the Easter Sea and Outer Realms. Because of this, Avalon has a reputation to be a cultural melting pot for what is otherwise a heavily controlled nation, and despite the best efforts of the Lord Overseer, the port has a massive smuggling trade that is leveraged by multiple groups.

Districts

Avalon Harbor is made up of three primary districts: 

The Port District

The ports are the hub for many industrial and trade activities and feed directly into the markets district located just west of the ports. There are a total of forty-five docks that can host a variety of ship sizes: 

• Twenty-three Sloop-class docks
• Fourteen Caravel-class docks
• Six Galleon-class docks
• Two Capital-class docks

The Markets

The Markets transition over a few-mile strip between themselves and the docks. Nested against the Port is the warehouses that store a multitude of trade-goods and provide the lifeline to the Markets just beyond. The markets feed into the front of the city, with many places for trade, taverns, and inns that are used by the countless merchants. 

The Residential Ward

The final district is the official residential ward, mostly steered away from by the traveling folk, but is the homes of those who live in the city and do not live in their markets. Mostly, dock workers find themselves on the eastern side, close to the docks, and live in what are commonly referred to as slums. 
Meanwhile, closer to the markets is the gated portion of the Residential Ward, where the business owners and the Lord Overseer himself lives. There is one inn available to paying travelers that can be found at the entrance to the ward from the market district. This inn is mostly exclusive to those willing to afford it's luxury.
