The Lesser Principalities.

A distant breakaway from Remnant that declared it's independence 70 years ago. The far distance made it impossible to get an army over there to quell the rebellion, and The City-Ruin was forced to concede. For a number of years the Principalities flourished, having access to relatively untouched resources. The Princes ruled their city states firmly.
These days however, their territory has been eaten away by the Overgrowth. Losing a number of their City-states and most valuable mines. Their only lifeline is a long standing trade agreement with Remnant. But with their ores depleting, who knows how much longer the trade route will stand.
Their name the "Lesser" Principalities is a harsh, mocking reminder of their fall of recent days.
