Wresstila Thannik is the elder matron of The Weight, known throughout Awarth as The Weightmaker—not because she creates burden, but because she gives it form. Old beyond reckoning, her right hand is twisted from injury, gnarled like driftwood, but still capable of scrawling names with ritual precision.
Wres rarely speaks. When she does, it is with the slow certainty of someone who measures words like stones. She is neither priest nor ruler—she is memory given body. Those who kneel before her do not seek absolution, only recognition: the quiet acknowledgment that what they carry is real, and they are not alone.
She has no children, no record of birthplace, and no known bed. Bearers claim she does not sleep, only waits.
