Vench Garlos
Vench Garlos is an archivist of the The Esoteric Archive working from a hidden cave beneath Brackenbridge in Brackenbridge. His dedication to preserving forgotten tales and "fringe" histories, which he records through carvings, journals, and testimonials, endear him to the local populace. Though his position within the Archive is unremarkable on paper, Vench has carved out a unique role as a collector of stories often overlooked by others.
In Brackenbridge, he is seen as a quiet, curious figure, wandering the mist-shrouded landscape in search of local legends, old songs, and half-remembered events. To Vench, even the smallest story holds value, believing that forgotten narratives can reveal hidden truths about the present.
Though still loyal to the Archive, Vench’s independent streak and remote work have made him a figure of intrigue. Some within the Archive view him with suspicion, wondering whether his efforts serve the institution or his own personal mission. Others dismiss him as an eccentric footnote, working far from the heart of Awarth’s power.
Despite his modest station, Vench quietly believes that preserving the past is essential for shaping the future, and he continues his work, whether or not the Archive pays attention.
