Irva Kreshnik is a poet who finds inspiration in the spectral strangeness of The Glimmer Sink. Unlike many Sinkers who accept their grim surroundings, Irva finds meaning in the shifting lights and spectral shadows of the bogs. A Sinkmonger by trade, she harvests bioluminescent sludge and ghostly eels, spinning tales of their strange beauty to draw buyers to her stall. Her vivid storytelling makes her a favorite at The Stilted Grin, where patrons linger over glowing tankards and listen to Irva weave wonder from the gloom.
Recently, The Coil approached her with a friendly offer to join their network, promising steady buyers and protection. Irva’s refusal was polite but firm, rooted in a past she rarely discusses. Once, she worked for The Gristle Syndicate, and the bitter taste of exploitation still lingers. Though The Coil seems different—polished, less overtly brutal—Irva knows better than to give away her independence again.
She’s not naive. Irva knows her refusal may one day sour The Coil’s goodwill. Still, she clings to her freedom, unwilling to trade her soul for stability. Beneath her friendly demeanor is a quiet defiance, born not of pragmatism, but of a fierce belief in the fragile magic she sees in the Sink.
