Session 03 - The Dreaming Heralds Part 2

General Summary

Picking up from last session, the party--having just found a treasure chest of items and a key--continues to explore the temple they are in. They go through a door, and a small bell audibly rings. The room is overgrown with vegetation, with two orbs of light hanging from the ceiling. On a table, they find a vial of pink liquid. Varan takes the pink liquid. AzKhan concludes the plants grow from the light of the orbs. The party moves on into the next room, which is abandoned except for some old broken furniture. They continue their search of the temple and explore the outside balcony. They notice a veranda, hidden by foliage, on the side of the temple. Statues of worshipping humans stand in the veranda.


The part goes back into the temple. They unlock a door using the key they found earlier and find a flight of stairs that lead up to another floor. Halfway up the stairs, Larya steps on trigger plate and is struck by spikes that shoot out of the wall. Solianna figures out which step is the trigger, and the party goes up the staircase, avoiding that step.


The make it to the top floor, and notice pools of old, dried blood on the floor. AzKhan kicks open a door on the opposite side of the room, revealing a worship room that has been desecrated. Seven white robed figures lay on the ground, and another undead creature in golden robes grabs a nearby sword and beckons the figures on the ground to rise. A battle ensures.
