Human

The most common of the races are Humans. Extremely adaptive, Humans can evolve faster than other races and in more drastic ways, sometimes if given enough time they reach the point of becoming an entirely different race.

History

The history of Humans is deeply entwined with other races and the world at large, meaning there isn't much to tell of Humanity as a whole. The majority of human history is a part of the Mortal Realm's myths but not all of them can be creditable (hence myth). The following is the myth of humanity being created and humanity being put into a divine slumber. The former has little proof and is generally talked of as true, the ladder has a lot of evidence to go off on.

Creation of Humans

The first generation of humans was created by the titan Prometheus. He used the Holy Grail to wet clay and then molded it into tiny figurines (compared to his size of course). The holy properties of the grail transferred into the clay which in turn brought it to life, creating the first humans. In the eyes of mortals, this is what began the Mythological Era, abbreviated to P.G. for the Promethean Generation.

The Great Slumber

At the end of the Mythological Era, the Heavens and the Abyss had a devastating war and used the Mortal Realm as their battlefield. The Gods not wanting the Mortals to become casualties, created caves for each family to hide in while they fought. After a couple of generations passed in the caves, the Gods knew this war would last for ages and gave them an option. They could either be put into a deep slumber until they're safe, or they will move them into a new realm away from the war. Some mortals chose to sleep while others chose to leave. The time the mortals had slept is known as the Resting Era and during it, the Gods had finished the war and banished the abyss from the Mortal Realm but had let the mortals sleep longer and let the world heal before they could reclaim it. For a while, even the Gods left the Mortal Realm and let who knows what live and die there while the Mortals slept. When the Gods learned that fate will soon bring the Gods to their doom, they awakened the Mortals in case it came to be. This began the current era of the Mortal Realm, the new mortals being called the Awakened Generation.

Types of Humans

Because of humans' adaptive traits, they easily evolve to suit the environment around them.

Huntsmen / Huntswomen

Being constantly under the threat of monsters who can turn invisible, shapeshift, or just easily hide in the environment, the people who live in Hagsfeild have become highly proficient at perceiving their surroundings.

Kingsmen

Camelot has many different factions, each one trying to surpass the other. The people here have learned how to find good deals and separate the truth from lies.

Requian

The people who live on the Requian Coast have to deal with its strange oceanic areas, even away from the beach. The humans who live here are proficient swimmers and can hold their breath for longer periods of time.

Silentian

Silentia was created by magic users who survived the wrath of Hagsfield. Because of the experiments done on its land, the region has become prone to strange magics of all kinds, leaving the humans who've been born here to have greater magical capabilities and be more prone to its effects.

Urman

Urmany has a violent history, and much of that is reflected in the daily lives of its citizens. The Urman children are trained young to be a part of the military and are proficient with weapons and battle tactics.

Vuruesian

While the children of Urmany are taught to be fighters, the children of Vuruesis are taught to be preachers. The children of this region have been trained to memorize complex prayers which led to the humans having a greater memory.
