There was one who said unto me
That the cosmos would cause me to tremble,
That I was not the best of the Maker's tools.
Yet she appeared as a fool,
Making unthinking gestures upon her forehead as the trifling young do
Behold, the years began coming, and they came without ceasing
Given over to the law to be devoured, I fell upon the ground and ran
I could not accept a life free of pleasurable things
Wherein my mind increased its wisdom, but my spirit its stupidity
So much to do
So much to see
Let not the low road trouble us
We shan't know if we don't go
We shan't shine if we don't glow
Hark, you are the stuff of stars
Find your own challenge and meet it
Hark, you make the sweetest of music
Let it bring you treasure untold
For all that shines is gold
And the stars that fall are the brightest
The world is cold and it will end in ice
Ye shiver now, but wait 'til ye close your eyes
Yet the stargazers tell us diff'rent
When they look upon fire in the skies
***
Hark, you are the stuff of stars
Find your own challenge and meet it
Hark, you make the sweetest of music
Let it bring you treasure untold
For all that shines is gold
And the stars that fall are the brightest
There once was one who asked of me
If I would take him a little way on my horse
The change he sought was naught but his own horizon
So I said yea, ride with me
And I shall change my horizon as well
For we are all revived upon the turning of the wheel
