The World of Tala
When the world settled out of the primordial music, it was naught but a globe of thought and potential. The ancient harmonies flowed around it. Their chords and discords sounded for the first time in the deep. From these forces, all that exists was made. Matter and void; life and death; fey and fell: all were composed in the measures of the endless song. The song's harmonies coalesced around a single point, and this became the Orb of Tala, upon which we mortal races walk, and across whose centuries we contend with fate. The records here were compiled by the Faculty of the Azuthean Academy. They include tales and legends, histories and biographies, arcane and philosophical treatises, geographical and architectural surveys, and rumors of ancient and hidden things, preserved and corroborated to the best of our ability. What is known, we seek to understand. What is yet unknown, we seek to uncover.
