Ingo Boulderfist Character in The Azure Sea | World Anvil

Ingo Boulderfist

(a.k.a. The Drover)

"Whatever you need, he knows a guy," is often a phrase uttered to sum up Ingo Boulderfist. This tall imposing man has built up a decent business and is slowly building a reputation as a good source for guards, marines, and muscle when sailing through difficult waters.   He is colloquially (and slightly sarcastically) known around town as "The Drover", for he rounds up and herds mercenaries as a drover would sheep.   Ingo is seemingly friends with Eliander Fireborn, and the two of them can often be found drinking together quietly at The Wicker Goat.   The Drover is always on the lookout for skilled mercenaries to fulfil the contracts offered to him, and has a particular need for those who can serve as caravan guards, personal protection for merchants, and sentries aboard docked ships.

Appearance and Mannerisms

Ingo can be an intimidating figure, especially to those who do not know him. Tall, upright and confident, he has a long scar running from the right side of his mouth. Coupled with his piercing pale blue eyes and many earrings, normally paired with bruises from a recent fight, he can be a hard man to stare down. And he knows it.   To his friends he can be a fun and amiable companion however, and has a deep and hearty laugh.   Ingo wears a long coat of supple black leather over black leather armour and always has at least one blade on show.   He has a habit of chewing tobacco, and spitting it out when he wants to make a point.

Notable Achievements

lngo tries to keep a low profile in general. He avoids taking sides in any conflict if possible, but can be relied upon if hired.   Little is know about his past.

Tall and intimidating, Ingo is the person to see if you need to hire mercenaries or specialised workers.
