1 - Crow

The crow gently landed on her outstretched forefinger. Its dark, black feathers seemed to absorb all light. The bird wasn't intelligent, she knew that. But its eyes betrayed a sly cunning that she was all too familiar with. More than that though, there was something deeper. Something unsettling. As she lost herself in the crow's blackened form, she felt it. A harbinger of doom. Or was it a doom since passed? It was impossible to tell.

She was snapped from her reverie by the whinny of a horse from the street below. The crow cawed at her, then took to the night sky. She rested her hand back down on the roof tilings, then looked over the deep night skies of Waterdeep. Selûne was partially obscured by clouds, coating the city in a darkness only penetrated by the dim light of lanterns. She would take some time to think about that crow.
