Northweyr Province
The HONERA family has held the NORTHWEYR PROVINCE since its creation over eighty years ago. In the beginning, the family was simply one of the aggressive in retaliating against the beastmen tribes from the central hill region northeast of Heraldsport. After several seasons of campaigning against the tribes, the HONERA patriarch led the Auredani forces to defeat and rout the remaining encampments. This drove them north and east with the Auredani forces in pursuit such that there were few that made the safety of the wilderlands and none left on the fertile lands of Northweyr. In recognition of their valor and commitment against the seasonal raids and depredations, the AUREDAIN KING granted them the NORTHWEYR PROVINCE in perpetuity provided that hold the border against any returns of the tribal subhumans. There have been several incursions but the HONERA and their vassals have held the line and even pushed it out further.
With the placement of KHURLEIGH KEEP being so far into the wilderness at the time at the time of its construction there were few who doubted the ambitions of the HONERA line. Their continued loyalty to the Throne and loyalty received from the Royal Lineage over generations is due to recognition of the family’s drive. It is not avarice or ambition that causes them to push the borders out each year but an abiding belief in the Reconquest and the need to place the Named Peoples above those of beastmen and their ilk.
