The Shattered Isles

Overview

The Shattered Isles are a plane of existence not very well-known outside of those who live there. It is said that once celestials watched over the plane and oversaw the growth of the races within. However, over time, the people became greedy, spiteful, hateful, and began to embody more of the negative traits and aspects. Given the sensitivity of the world, this negativity and corruption seeped into the very soul of the plane and began corrupting. Unfortunately, many of the celestials had already left, leaving only Cevan'tari's broken form as a guardian for the plane.

Geography

The Shattered Isles is a mostly maritine plane with numerous islands spread throughout the realm. Perhaps most notable in the island in the center where a massive crater rests and a storm constantly swirls overhead. This is where the Tower of Cevan'tari lies that onced housed the celestials that watched over the realm. Now, only Cevan'tari remains.
The namesake of the plane though lies within the area around the central island itself. Seeming to be broken and fragmented as though at random, islands dot the landscape around it of all shapes and sizes. Hence, the plane was nicknamed, albiet affectionately, as 'The Shattered Isles.' The few larger islands are often seen as continents of themselves though anyone from other realms or planes might laugh at such an idea. However, this is all these island-dwelling individuals have known, the steady maritine trade and growing of food and other goods on the scattered islands. Is it actually not too uncommon for semi-wealthy tradesmen to even own entire islands themselves.
