The Crown of Clan Mørkthol (Crown of Clan M-orc-thol)

History

Origins

The Crown of Clan Mørkthol was, of course, created by Clan Mørkthol to further enhance the capabilities of whoever ruled over the dwarven clan. Being a powerful clan of the Azkor Grongi within The Sundered Peaks they had vast stores of wealth and materials at thier disposal.
After having finished building their own clan stronghold at Mordri Moathi they decided that their leader would benefit from having a crown, while not as elaborate or fancy as that of the Azkori Hephaes, still significant and powerful to show the strength of their clan.
So they ventured out among The Sundered Peaks before they encountered a gold dragon by the name of Gil'zarm'gortan'borthu'nakal, with a treasure hoard so vast that the dwarves found it irresesistable. Though they lost a great many lives, almost half of the party of five-hundred sent out, they killed the dragon and took their hoard. The two eyes of the dragon were removed from its skull and fitted into the crown made of mithril to be worn upon the head of the leader of Clan Mørkthol. It took two years and a great many runes and reforging before the eyes were settled amongst the other gemstones, and it was first worn by Balfri Mørkthol, one of the dwarves leading the charge for the hoard of the dragon.
With this newfound crown, the dwarves own hoard began to grow and expand, Balfri Mørkthol commanded many a great raid against both dragon and orcish warbands, even deep within the depths of The Underpass, and Clan Mørkthol's wealth only continued to grow under his leadership, despite the loss of dwarves, and many still yet heralded him a hero. Some other clans, however, thought that he and his clan seemed to be possessed of the same greed that is common to a dragon...
