Athletes

Corsico is the most popular sport in the PSC, with MPD as a solid second. Corsico athletes use equipment enhanced by MAW in a more complex, contact sport version of baseball.

Blood Sport

Corsico is, notably, a pretty dangerous sport. Cybernetics and enhancement performing chems are not against the rules, the MAW equipment makes throwing and catching the ball, swinging a bat, and charging or defending bases a dangerous prospect. There are rules to mitigate the likelihood of DEATH, but a few athletes are lost every season and dismemberment is common. All that is besides the times when a whole team charges out of their dugout and meets the other side on the field, which is against the rules but refs know better than to try to stop the 'scrum riot' before it winds down.

"Retired"

There are typically three endings to a Corsico career; a physical or mental injury painful enough to ruin their enthusiasm, a success big enough to get a big payout and retire, or die. The provided template is for those of 'middle fortune;' they are taking a potentially permanent hiatus to center themselves after a rough game or season. They're looking to do something less stressful and dangerous, such as fistfight alien monstrosities or headbutt asteroids. If you would rather play a particularly successful athlete who left for other reasons, then increase your Wealth attribute and remove the traumatic traits.
