Unicorns

Unicorns are a very rare and very powerful animals. A unicorn can most easily be described as a horse with a horn protruding from their head above their eyes. Their manes come in many different colors as well as their fur. Their horns are typically a brilliant color of white. Unicorns do not need to clean their horns, however, as they stay clean by magical means.
The reason that unicorns are so powerful is that they have Imbernium in their blood, making them powerful, magical and mystical. One should definitely not drink unicorn blood, for in doing so one would be forever cursed with an unquenchable thirst for blood of any kind. This curse would also come with lose of sanity and a normal physical appearance. Once anyone or anything drinks unicorn blood, their body stretches out to unnatural proportions.
There is only one unicorn in heraldry history, and that is the depicted in the Grimm's family coat of arms. Similarly, the Grimm family are the only ones to have known to tame a unicorn for the purposes of riding. This unicorn is known as the Grimm Mount. The Grimm mount has jet black fur and a golden mane. While the Grimm Mount is the only rideable unicorn known in history, the Grimm Mount hates the Grimm Empire and Emperor with a passion. The Grimm Mount keeps her feelings secret and tells of them only to other unicorns.
Unbeknownst to the Grimm Empire and its allies, there are numerous unicorns on Absensia . They live in secret and have their own small council. They only make themselves known to people and creatures they deem worthy. The council of unicorns goals are mostly to syphon power of any kind away from the Grimm Empire. The council of unicorns mostly hit the Grimm Empire where it really hurts, their imbernuim supply. Due to a unicorn's familiarity with imbernium (it's in their blood, after all), they have been extremely successful in not only taking away the Grimm Empire's production line of imbernium, the council of unicorns have also taken away all of the Empire's ribus plants and relocated them to Absensia. Their next goal is to take away the Grimm Family's divine colander away, to ensure that the Grimm Empire's only godly threat is the Grimm Emperor himself.
