Arcane Materials
Various materials within Thaloskyr have magical properties. Their uses are as follows:
Holy Water
The water which runs off of the Holy Clepsydra in Arkon (can also be purified from regular water by Archpriests) -Baptism in it purifies you from evil (can be used to remove Magic Tattoos) -Direct contact with holy water will do 1d6 damage to Undead for every pint of fluid which maintains direct contact. Silver weapons doused in holy water will be upgraded to +1d6 damage. -Can be used as a crafting ingredient to make Holy Talismanskraken Ink
Obtained by fighting/killing Krakens. Could also theoretically be obtained through nonviolent means, though achieving this without mixing it with seawater would be difficult. -Causes both the Distracted and Vulnerable statuses -Can be used to create Magic Tattoos/add spells to instruments -Can be used in conjunction with sacrificial blood to create cursed ink -Can be used in conjunction with whale bone to attune resonant gems to specific instruments -Can be used as a crafting ingredient to make Void TalismansSacrificial Blood
The blood which runs down the Sun and Moon Ziggurats in Cal-Veris and Arxfell, respectively. Can be substituted with fresh blood, if the blood is no less than 5 minutes old. -Anointment by a prophet negates either cold or heat damage for one attack (can be renewed) -Can be used in conjunction with Kraken ink to create cursed ink -Can be used to create Star TalismansCursed Ink
Created by mixing Kraken Ink, Sacrificial Blood, and Resonant Powder. -Can be used to curse items -Can be used to create Sorcery Talismans -can be used to turn yourself UndeadWhale Bone
Shockingly, the bones of whales. Obtained by killing whales in the North Sea. Can be substituted with Dragon or Sea Serpent bones. -Can be used as a high end material to create instruments -Can be used in conjunction with Kraken ink to attune resonant weapons to instruments -Can be used to craft Resonant Weapons -Incredibly receptive to curses and enchantmentsVellum

Created by grinding up resonant gems into a fine powder. While this does cause the gems to lose much of their ability to resonate, coating things with it will make them lighter. -Can be used to coat things such as ships and crates to make them lighter -Can be used as a crafting ingredient in cursed ink -Can be used to create Resonant InkResonant Ink
