Grrymok Snake

Avoid the grrymoks, if at all possible. They have a number of defensive mechanisms and none of them are pleasant to deal with. The smell they produce when threatened, the shrieks they give off, the dye that stains your skin, it's just miserable.   However, if you want a really reliable fabric dye or wood stain or stone paint or really anything that can take color at all, then you will have to find them anyway.   Grrymoks are quite large, coming it at around two meters long and very broad for a snake. They are capable of remaining utterly motionless for a long time, their stripes providing them with a natural camouflage. This is considered the reason that the Dheizei used striped rocks as danger signals in their trail signs.   Grrymoks are kept for their dye by the Garruw, who value its use as indelible ink. Since they're forced to use hardy substances in their writing to hold up to claws and fire breath, they likewise have difficulty finding ink that will take properly to the surfaces they use. While several suitable artificial substances have since been crafted, grrymok dye is still considered the most reliable and durable.   When they reach a certain age, a grrymok's stripes will become more pronounced, and usually more colorful. To go along with this, the dye they spew becomes more vibrant, and the shrieks they give off are louder.   A grrymok's screams are difficult to cope with for a long time, particularly once they start growing older.
