The Grand Architects

The Grand Architects are the group who manage the civil orders of construction for Evvorgard. 
They are tasked with maintaining the structural integrity of the towering city and thus hold the fates of all of it's residence in their hands. It is a lofty responsibility which carries with it a great deal of money and influence. 
It is against the law to remove any part of the city without their express permission, regardless of whether it is a whole building or simply an opening in a wall for a door, and breaking these laws carries extremely harsh punishments. Even accidental damage can be punished harshly, and use of evocation magics as well as forms of alchemy and artifice which could cause structural damage are strictly prohibited throughout the city, carrying with it hefty fines and possible prison sentences.
