Tengu
The Tengu are a very large humanoid race of bird like humanoids, sometimes standing 10ft tall. They were once one of the most numerous species of their native homeland of Yandasa, but so few survived the The Fracture that they are somewhat rare now, and are often mistaken for Aarakokra. They are innately attuned to the Arcane Firmament and most show some magical aptitude.
That said they are a deeply martial people, and traditionally they are encouraged to learn how to use weapons and armour from a young age. As a dwindling race they do cling even more passionately to their old traditions, which can cause a great deal of strife in families when young Tengu raised in Evermere and Kem-Maldur want to go off and live their own lives.
Basic Information
Biological Traits
The Tengu are a very large humanoid race of bird like humanoids, sometimes standing 10ft tall. They are varied in plumage but blues and browns are the most common colours. They stand straight, emphasising their imposing height and speak with slow and deep voices.
Much like the birds they likely descended from they have beaks and wings. They have 4 digit talons, with opposable thumbs on their arms, all of which only add to their similarity to the Aarakokra, who may very well be their genetic cousins.
