Elves - Loreans, Ustwe, Drow and Eundor

Elves typically reach maturity around the age of 30 and live to around 250 years old, though it is not uncommon for them to pass the lofty age of 300.
The Elves of Thaeria came to these lands from far away in the 3rd or 4th age, but despite their language and diligent record keeping there is a great deal of questions about their history. Some people believe they hide it on purpose but there is no historical evidence to support that. It could be tens of thousands of years ago and is more likely to have been lost whilst they were first establishing themselves in their new homes. The records that speak of their origin, many of which were written by the people elves first encountered, speak of them migrating from their homelands to the east. However it is now often thought this was not literal; perhaps they just said east to appease the questions of the natives of the lands they settled, perhaps they came from a different realm all together, one which collapsed and was lost to time. The only thing we know for sure, is what they call it; Esyl'ihm.
They brought with them knowledge and technology, which they used in trade with the local tribal communities of humans, gnomes, hobbits, goblinoids, and to a lesser degree the dwarves. As the Elves flourished so did the creatures they had formed political and economic ties with.
There may have been differences between the elven species even back in their homelands, or it may have happened since arriving at Thaeria, as each group adjusted and evolved with the environments they had chosen to live in. They are now split into 4 primarily recognised subspecies, the Loreans, AKA Wood elves s, the Ustwes AKA High elves, the Drow AKA dark elves and the Eundor, AKA Sea elves .
