City-State of Berlin

The city-state of Berlin is often credited with being the heartland of Teutonia due to being under the direct control of the Capital city of Berlin.

The state main export is crops grown from its fertile fields. Unlike the breadbasket in the south west the state does not enjoy duel cropping, meaning many of these crops go to its own population. Boar, wolfs and other creatures that leave the protected lands of the black forest are often hunted for their meats and pelts; along with creatures found in the woodlands along the northern coast. These woodlands are also harvest for Lumber, with demand growing since the Black Forest became protected from such practices.

Despite not being particular impressive with its resources, its fertile land and history avoiding many of the conflicts that have happened in the nation means it has a considerably large population. Along with its high population as well as commanding a presence all along the Rhur River, giving it extended access into the Black Forest and the Great Ritual Circle, Berlin ranks as one of the most important city-states in all of Teutonia.
