House Bastiona
The Military house of the Theocracy of Natinal
Leader: Kendra Bastiona, female human, the lord-admiral over Natinal's mighty navy, Kendra prides herself on wresting more and more control from Rommaco and Astrasan over the Meadric sea, she is the most vocal supporter of open warfare between the powers, believing the navy strong enough to overcome any attack the other nations may bring against them, thankfully these ideas are always sidelined and she is mocked for her radical stance by her peers, which only makes her want to prove them wrong.Champion: Christopher Bastiona, male human, Kendra's son, known for his incredible swordsmanship and fancy footwork, its said that Christopher is able to fight anyone anywhere, and he has certainly put that to the test as he always seeks out the most epic and dangerous terrain upon which to fight, becoming frustrated when his opponents slip and lose to falling rather than to his blade.
Economy: Helga Duncan, female gnome, Skald's wife, Helga works hard to ensure that every single Natinal soldier is well fed and clothed, often taking it upon herself through long work hours to write to their families when one passes away. She remembers the stories her mother used to tell her of the Humans leaving Natinal to fight for freedom and thinks it is her duty to fight for the soldiers of Natinal on the homefront, a job she performs wonderfully.
Magic: Maria Pita, female halfling, a legendary figure who led the defense of the city of Madrigal against the invading forces of the Astrasan Caliphate. She is celebrated as a hero and symbol of Natinal's defiance against foreign aggression, and continues to inspire the troops she leads to this day, her small statue only adding to her power it seems.
Military: Skald Duncan, male gnome, Helga's husband, the inventor of the cannons that are now being deployed on Natinal's ships, Skald is desperate to see them in action and longs for wartime data he can use to hone his creations to be even deadlier, he prides himself on these cannons and sees them and himself as the future of naval combat.
Diplomatic: Kelton Saxon, male halfling, a small but fierce negotiator, Kelton does his best to wrest more power for Natinal away from the established powers by leveraging their naval power and somehow their underdog status at the same time. He believes Natinal deserves to stand up strong with the likes of Saxony and Astrasan and will not rest until it has been achieved and peace can reign through the nation's naval might
Religious: Miguel de Cervantes, male halfling, A renowned writer from Natinal, Miguel de Cervantes is best known for his epic poem "The Song of Skulls and Fire," which tells the story of an unlikely halfling hero joining 13 gnomes and a human wizard in fighting for Natinal against the Cult of Martius. His book is loved across Europa and everyone is constantly clamoring for more, despite their obvious Addus religious undertones. He struggles with Inquisitorial officials who try and slip more blatant Addus propaganda in his books and just wants to right a good story it seems.
