Shadows of Helldrim: A 6,700 Year History of the Drac Assassins
Chapter 1: The Genesis of Darkness (-6000 TR - 1300 EE)
In the misty annals of ancient Bla-Ka-Kun whispers spoke of a clandestine order shrouded in darkness. It was said that these beings, called the Dracs, were not merely mortals, but also not Eternals either. Dracs were said to be originally monsters of shadows that had the ability to blend into the night. Helldrim Bloodbound, a figure veiled in myth and dread, was believed to be their progenitor. Stories wove tales of her insatiable thirst for power and her ability to command legions of drac assassins. Under her guidance, they struck from the shadows, executing the will of their dark master.
Chapter 2: The Age of Shadows (-1300 EE - 0 CE)
As empires rose and fell, the Bloodbound Assassins endured. They became the unseen hand shaping the course of history in Bla-Ka-Kun. From there they participated in the opulent courts of the Eternals to being the silent killer of generals on the blood-soaked battlefields Redover, their influence spread like a creeping vine. Through manipulation and subterfuge, they maintained their grip on power, ensuring that the world remained ignorant of their existence. Helldrim's control over her minions was absolute, her commands whispered through the ages like a Dark Prophecy. This is when Tasssia approaches Helldrim and offers her a deal to satisfy her bloodlust till the end of all ages. Helldrim agreed and swore a blood oath binding her to Tassia as her third hand. The cloaked one.
Chapter 3: The Renaissance of Blood (0 CE - 1400 CE)
With the dawn of the Renaissance came a resurgence of interest in the occult and forbidden knowledge. The Drac Assassins flourished in this environment, exploiting the chaos of political intrigue and passing control of Tassia to her children. This new upheaval furthered their own agenda. They infiltrated the highest echelons of society, by letting the Eternals use their supernatural abilities to sow discord and chaos in rival lands to maintain more control over them. It was during this time that Helldrim's influence reached its zenith, her name whispered in fear by those who dared to oppose her. Her name whispered to ally Eternals of elite assassins for the right about of coin to get rid of rivals that stood in their way, for the main reason of being allowed to be the ones who had to right to speak with their mother Tassia. To assert more control over her spawn Helldrim selected individual powerful Dracs to rule over smaller collectives that are called Sanguanires.
Though the millennium of the Renaissance of Blood these Dracs were feared throughout the land finding themselves more independent from Helldrims influence.
Chapter 4: The Age of Enlightenment (1400 CE - 1800 CE)
As the world entered the Age of Enlightenment, the shadows grew longer, and the Drac Assassins found themselves facing new challenges. The rise of Eternals' bloodshed for each other threatened to expose their existence to the general world as would hire assassins. In response, they retreated further into secrecy, operating from the shadows with even greater caution. Dracs not fully bent yet to a specific (needs edits) Eternals rules, despite their efforts, cracks began to appear in their carefully constructed facade. Rumors of strange disappearances and inexplicable deaths circulated among the populace, fueling superstition and fear.
Chapter 5: The Modern Era (1800 CE - 2023 CE)
In the modern era, the Bloodbound Assassins remain a shadowy presence lurking at the fringes of society. Though their numbers have dwindled over the centuries, their influence still reaches into the highest levels of power. Helldrim Bloodbound, their ancient master, is believed by some to be nothing more than a legend, a relic of a bygone age. But those who have felt the chill of her presence know better. As the world hurtles towards an uncertain future, the Drac Assassins wait patiently in the darkness, ever watchful, ever ready to strike at the heart of their enemies.
