History
Bluechena is a fragile nation on the verge of tearing itself apart from internal strife and pressure from Whelra to the south.
Relatively young, the nation has only existed since 1803 C.E. Before this, the region's history was defined by the endless wars between two vastly different nations: Issia and Rostland. This bitter rivalry ended when a Foreign Eternal named Aethor conquered both lands. After securing their surrender, Aethor united the realm, took the titles of Eparch and Archmagi of the Temple, and christened the remaining local Eternals as House Airagor and elevated previous high standing familys to be Nobles as well.
Aethor ruled for centuries before suddenly disappearing in 2020 CE. The surviving members of House Airagor maintained control by leveraging the threat of the conqueror's return and the lingering fear of Aethor's dragon allies. Though the dragons had seemingly vanished after the nation's founding, they famously returned once to lay siege to Skywatch, an observatory and fortress held by Rostlandic loyalists a hundred years ago.
House Airagor’s rule abruptly ended in 2022 CE when every remaining member mysteriously disappeared—an event now known as the Vanishing. This massive power vacuum left Bluechena's mortal noble families and previously usurped Eternals to pick up the pieces, immediately reigniting their centuries-old disagreements. Today, House Surtova has managed to seize the upper hand in court, and the Eternal Noleski Surtova rules the splintering nation as the new Eparch & Archmagi of the Temple.
