Courtsend Museum of Trailblazers

The Courtsend Museum of Trailblazers is a museum located in the city of Courtsend, in the eastern Pinascimate Mountains. Constructed in 55PC, the museum is dedicated to the first crossing of the Courtsend Pass in 13 PC, as well as documenting the stories of various escaped convicts and settlers that travelled over the pass and into Concórdia and Saralost.   The Trailblazers are the various peoples that for one reason or another, set out from Calian and travelled eastwards over the previously thought impassable Pinascimate Mountains, paving the way for the widespread colonisation of the lands beyond the mountains, as well as the expansion of the Penal Authority as they chased after them. Many Trailblazers survived into the era of the Tersten State. While the Museum specifically celebrates the lives of Trailblazers who joined the Tersten Resistance, many also joined the Unitarian Party.   When the Courtsend Autonomous Republic achieved independence in 66 PC, the Museum became a point of prestige for its people, with the republic working to create a Courtsendi national identity, one that uses the Trailblazers for its own purpose. Similarly, following the Priceless War in 72 PC, the museum has been expanded to include a section on 'Modern Trailblazers', war and civilian heroes of the Republic.
