Velvet Latrielle, the Velveteen Heart. He bears an ability born from the wish to mend an unclosed wound. Raised by his grandparent alongside his two siblings, Velvet learned of heartbreak at a young age when he lost his grandfather in an accident. This event had quite an impact on young Velvet, tearing his heart with tears while he chose to harden his exterior in response. He compensated his grief with a tough, aggressive exterior, donning apparel that befitted a delinquent and adopting punk-like mannerisms of action and speech. This façade wasn't slated to last however, as closure for his loving grandfather's death came in the form of a gift left undelivered due to his passing. All Velvet found was a small patchwork rabbit and a thank you card that read "for one with the softest heart". As small a trifle this may seem to an outsider, it was all he needed for his heart to mend.
Velvet is is a incredibly kind at heart, but this fact is obscured under layers and layers of embarrassed bashfulness. His rough and tough exterior kind of stuck, but it no longer comes from a place of insecurity, this rabble-rousing style simply being how he has come to be. These manners however, do not detract from his more delicate traits, having occasional moments where his more shy and demure traits surface, usually in moments of fluster. Regardless of whether his more soft or stringent qualities are on display, he still retains his great confidence and passion in his actions, be it combat or hobbies.
Without his remnant his ability is called "patchwork razor" and grants Velvet the ability to manipulate fabrics, textiles, or any other particularly fibrous material he's touching. Not only can Velvet manipulate its movements and shape, but also its texture and qualities, able to turn soft fabrics into razor-edge blade or robust shields. Velvet an even change the size of fabric, though he can only stretch them out to a limited degree before strength and integrity begins to diminish.

Kairos, The Patchwork
The master of this remnant is slightly annoyed at how it betrays his true nature. This remnant is one born from the perseverance of love beyond hurt and beyond passing, its velvet heart sewn prominently on its chest. Its unassuming and rather cuddly form is no deception, as it would gladly give its warmth to any who'd simply ask. Both in sickness and in health, in sadness or in joy, will it stand by those who have given it love. It cares not for saving face or the reputation its master tries to hold, waiting for none, sometimes simply manifesting itself to give someone hug, much to its master's embarrassment. But this remnant capable of more than being just a plush companion, as its compassion can heal the wounds wherever they may be found. However, should it find one whose wound is found on their heart, all it can do is sit quietly by their side, and hope time can heal the one wound it cannot reach.
Kairos manifests as a small toy rabbit one could expect to find on a young child's bedside, made from velveteen patchwork with a distinct heart-shaped patch sew onto the side of its chest. Though it does have a second form the it only rear is the most dire of situations. This form manifests a rather grotesque appearance, having a centipede-like body consisting of a many clothed mannequin torsos attached to each other as reticulated segments through a steel vertebrae, thin spindly metal limbs emerging from each of the mannequins' arm sockets. Much of its serpentine body is swathed in a cocoon-like patchwork fabric, its cylindrical shape held by a rib-like metal cage that can open alongside the fabric to reveal the many legs and segments beneath. Its head is that of a large toy rabbit with button eyes, but the fabric skit can separate form its head, becoming like a large hood whose fabric is attached to its body's swath, revealing a large rabbit skull underneath and its true beady eyes underneath the button facsimiles.
The unbound ability, "Velveteen Heart", allows Kairos to treat flesh like fabric and fabric like flesh. This remnant can use fabrics and textiles to mend physical wounds, manifesting an array of sewing tools to do so. This remnant's healing ability is extremely potent, literally sewing wounds shut and immediately healing the wound, used fabrics even able to replace damaged or missing flesh, the material taking on the properties of whatever it's replacing, recipients of this odd way of healing even experiencing sensation from the fabric as if they were true skin. The stiches and fabrics do remain for a while, recipients appearing like literal patchwork for a while, but it time the fabric and thread become true flesh identical to any other found on the person.
Style and Abilities
Velvet fights head-on with raw strength and tenacity, opting for a very direct style of combat, no tricks or traps, mere prowess. Though he is not without tact, not a mindless bruiser but armed with sharp instinct and flexibility in action. Velvet knows the importance of both softness and strength when it comes to a fight, employing the delicacy necessary to out-maneuver and deflect an opponent's advance while also wielding the strength to end a conflict. This understanding of such polarities is even reflected in how he uses his ability, either keeping his cloth dense and concentrated to strike like a single decisive arrow or spreading out to corner an enemy with hail of offence from many directions. All this and not to mention Kairos healing ability able to keep him and any allies free of physical wounds. Though able to discern when to attack and when to defend, when to concentrate his strength or spread it out, and able to either with high proficiency, he's unable to do both at once with each having their drawbacks. Expanding his range leaves him stretched out, sacrificing power for a larger field of action, while a concentrated approach makes him strong but limited, sometimes become too direct and inflexible. Kairos too has limitation in its healing abilities and opportunities to use it. Kairos is left very vulnerable when tending a wound, graver injuries taking time to mend, leaving it occupied and defenseless, not that it could defend itself even if it tried. Thus the responsibility of protecting it often falls to Velvet, an important task especially when an interruption to Kairos methods often having dire consequences. Finally, despite his immense natural talent, his inexperience is often a detriment.
Physical Description
Special abilities
Velvet's cloth manipulation is a very adaptable and powerful ability, able to be employed in both offensive an defensive fashions depending on what the situation demands. In regards to the capabilities of his ability, it has many application that aren't obvious at first. Velvet employs many generic techniques such as manipulating sharped tendrils of cloth as a weapon or hardening it into a defensive shields and barriers, but it can manipulate more than just the qualities of sharpness or durability. Velvet can easily turn any fabric into a flame retardant or powerful insulator in case of an opponent with elemental capabilities. The scale at which his cloth manipulation works is also quite fine, able to unravel and manipulate the thin fibers of cloth under the tutelage of another hunter who has weaponized thin strings, though Velvet has yet to refine this technique. His final and most dangerous application of his power lies how his ability can manipulate any fibrous material, one fibrous material under its dominion being muscle fibers. The implications of this capacity are not lost on Velvet, him seldom using it, and only on himself, manipulating his own muscles fibers to enhance his physical strength to even greater degrees.
His remnant on the other hand, is far more suited for supportive positions. Its operations can heal even the most severe lacerations, even able to reattach freshly severed limbs and even bisection, injuries that normally leave an average person dead and those with cores days to recover. Kairos' patients are seemingly placed in a state of physical stasis while under its care, making sure their condition doesn't worsen during the operation, the operation taking longer the greater the injury, but its healing is far out-speeds what a person's ether can do by itself. However, there are limits to what Kairos can do, unable to cure poisons or non-physical ailments, replace lost blood, or reattach a decapitated head. But, Velvet and Kairos do have one final trump card, Kairos transforming into its more grotesque form to do a complete body overhaul that can save even the most mutilated body as long as its not completely dead, now able to repair the damage its was unable to do prior, however, both Velvet and Kairos are left in a very vulnerable state of focused immobility. But even with this, there are things beyond Kairos' power, unable to remedy the damage of age or revive the already dead.
Apparel & Accessories
One can often be perplexed when first seeing Velvet's hunting attire as it can be easily be confused as casual loungewear. Velvet wears a shirt the appears as two shirts layered on top of each other, the red outer-shirt appearing to be a smaller shirt full of horizontal rips from overstretching, revealing a tightfitting black shirt underneath. Lower down Velvet wears black pants made of a flexible material with the same rip designs near the cuffs, with his foot wear being simple black shoes whose soles are made with compact fibers. However his most distinct piece of clothing is an oversized rabbit hoodie made with a very thick fabric coloured black with a red interior, often worn unzipped to expose the underneath clothing. This hoodie has a large and round frame, it maintaining puffy structure without simply draping around Velvet with two tall distinct rabbit ear planted atop its hood. The only other notable accessory being a silver choker with a zipper design around his neck.
Specialized Equipment
Using his abilities, Velvet's entire outfit is a weapon, his dense hoodie in particular being a large collection of fabric to manipulate. Velvet can reshape any fabric on him into any form he needs, whether they be a collection of sharp tendrils or a broad shield of hardened cloth, Velvet is very creative in his applications of his ability. One distinct formation he often employs is coalescing all of the fabric on his upper body around his torso, most of the cloth collecting around his arms, both to reinforce his physical strength, using the cloth like extra external muscles, and give him two massive claws that can extend to slice apart even steel and stone. This formation focuses all his strength into offense, literally stripping him of his defenses in the process, retaining only the hood to protect his head while much of his upper-half is entirely exposed. The same is usually also done with his pants, wrapping them around his legs to reinforce their strength. Aside from his cloth however, Velvet is often seen wielding a katana and able to do so with skillfully, swordsmanship seeming to simply be a tradition in his family as both his brothers wield swords as well. Under a somewhat brutish veneer lies a great deal of precision, and though not particularly tactically-minded, his technique maximizes the strength of his talents while covering much of his weaknesses. His flexible ability and very strong fundamentals don't leave many exploitable weaknesses. His adaptability isn't limited to his ability either, but his fighting style as well, Velvet still being very direct and forward, but able fine tune his approach according to his opponent's capabilities. In terms of his cloth and sword, his swordsmanship is very aggressive while his cloth manipulation defends and counters until an opportune moment appears where he can put all he has into offence in hopes of crushing his opponent in one go.

Currently stays with his grandmother alongside his two brothers, Ori and Rayon, the three siblings alternating between their work as hunters and helping at the family textile and tailoring shop.
Relationships
History
Met due to Velvet's brother being Moirai's partner in their hunter licensure examination and Velvet's significant other being Moirai's colleague in their Sylayis hunter division. Since their introduction to each other, Moirai has taking on the mantle of (tormenting) training Velvet in hunting, particularly the use of their renaissance abilities. Both in teaching and leisure, Velvet often falls victim to Moirai's mischief, much the former's fluster and the latter's amusement. Despite Velvet avoiding Moirai like the plague in fear of being roped into one of his games, he still greatly respects Moirai's prowess and instruction, though he'd never deign to admit it. Moirai on the other hand is quite fond on Velvet, not (only) as an easy target for teasing, but as a person whose seemed to have found an honest unwavering sense-of-self, something plenty of people many times their age have yet to achieve. Regardless of their rather high opinion of each other, hidden by huff and cheek respectively, Velvet will always try (and fail) to slink away when he hears that Moirai is coming to visit.
