Family Details

The Aurgirmel family are officially a branch of the Glaciers. Founded by Torgoth Glacier, a member of the Glaciers who was alive during the mid First Era.

He would take the name Aurgirmel, which translates to Ice-Hammer, during the Maelstrom, partly to allow himself freedom from the weight of the Glacier name, but also for his own safety, during the Maelstrom, to introduce yourself as a Glacier, was to invite daggers into your back.

The Aurgirmel family would be the first family to rule the city of Noirinan, previously had been ruled by a Glacier, a cousin or aunt who would be in line to inherit nothing.

They are known for their loyalty to the crown, however, are primarily focused on their role as wardens of the dead. As the city of Noirinan is the resting place of all Glaciers.

Recent History:

More recently, the family have found themselves dealing with large numbers of refugees fleeing the war. Lord Aurgirmel, is known for his caring nature and has always made his city a welcoming one. It is said in the city of Noirinan, their is not one homeless elf. However, with the influx of refugees this is becoming harder to maintain, as more lords funnel refugees to the city, instead of helping them.

This has been made worse as Magor Culverin and the High King have been sending all refugees from Maril Osto to the city too, now that Calneris has departed the city.

Lord Aurgirmel, is married to lady Edherien Toidar, sister to the recently murdered Lord Manacar Toidar. Their union was done to mark and commemorate the renowned friendship between the knight and the squire, the founders of both families, Halfarin Toidar and Torgoth Aurgirmel
